Staci Porter Reid

Owner and Lead Planner

Growing up, Staci was the kid in her class who the teacher called on to help organize activities and class parties.  Her own birthday parties were planned months in advance, down to the very last detail.  It should come as no surprise that  The Wedding Planner is her favorite movie, or that she has two copies in her collection; just in case one of the DVDs gets a scratch.  Her earliest memory of knowing that she was in love with all things weddings was checking out bridal magazines at the Public Library.  She credits being a flower girl in six weddings as a child for igniting this spark.

Staci planned and coordinated her first wedding in 2004 at the age of 19.  After planning a few weddings for friends and really discovering the passion she had for this industry, she decided, in 2012, to launch her own company called It’s All In The Details. It began as a hobby-business, but over the next two years the company began to steadily grow. In January 2015, Staci and her husband, Chris, purchased Budget Vows as an expansion to her business.  SPR Events is the product of merging the two companies into one unified and full-service planning, coordinating, and event design company.

Staci says, “I am truly blessed to be able to do something that I absolutely love and am so passionate about on a full time basis.  Really, is this real life?  Someone needs to pinch me!  I am so thankful for the amazing team that I have; without them, SPR Events would not be possible.  I am very excited for the future of this dream, turned hobby, turned rapidly growing company that I am proud to call my own!”

A little bit about Staci:  I married my love, Christopher, in October 2014 and we have a dog-child named Bear, a 125 pound Rottweiler.  We love playing board games, trying new restaurants (especially sushi restaurants and steakhouses), and going on vacations!  We are both pretty nerdy and spent our honeymoon in Washington, D.C. visiting the Smithsonian Museums.  My guilty pleasure is watching reality TV, especially the real housewives of whatever city and the bachelor/ette.  My weaknesses are dark chocolate, shoes, and purses!

Favorite Moment In A Wedding:  I used to say that it was when the groom sees his bride for the first time, but the more weddings I do, the more I fall in love with the toasts.  It’s a time where I get to know a more personal side of my couple and hear all of the sweet and funny things their friends have to say about them.  I also love the daddy and daughter dance…Heck, I just love everything about weddings!

Favorite Wedding-Related Movie:  The Wedding Planner. I can totally relate to Mary!

Favorite Wedding Dance Song:  Right now, I would have to say The Wobble.

Favorite Cut of Diamond:  The Oval
